Magic School Bus books and movies?

Anyone else have kids that are into these? What age do you think kids will lose interest?

  • I love that they are science based. Both girls love the show. I didn't even know there were books. I will have to look into those.

  • DS likes them, they read some of the books at school this year and we have a couple at the house. Not sure when he will grow out of it, I like them though so I don't mind. They are better than a ton of other things he is into. He is 6.

  • My youngest son is really into them right now, and he wants the whole set, which will be released at the end of July. He's just about to turn 7 though, and he's my last, so I'm not sure if I should get them, or if he's going to still be interested in them longer.

  • My oldest will be 10 the end of the month. He won't admit to liking a whole lot of stuff he watched faithfully a few years ago, but if Magic School Bus or CyberChase happens to pop up on TV, we can't budge him. ;)

    We were cleaning out his book shelf the other day - donating some of the books he was 'too old' for, as well as some he simply had no desire to read again. He nearly knocked me over pulling the Magic School Bus books out of my hands when I said "Do you still want these?"

    So, I guess really the answer is - it depends on the kid and sometimes even if they say "I'm too big for that now" they're not always. ROFL!

  • My kids have outgrown the Magic School Bus but I haven't.  I love that show!

  • We've never watched the show, but my kids loved the books up until around 4th-5th grade (9-10 yo's)

  • I have 9 yr old twin boys & they like the magic school bus books however Magic Treehouse is the most popular & they read through them really fast!!
