Chiggers!!

Give me your best anti-itch remedies for chigger bites???

I have a friend in Texas and the chiggers are really bad this year!!

Corticosoid creams, calamine potion or oral anihistamines, such as diphenhydramine (Benydryl), can help with the relief of itching.

Chiggers do not burrow in the skin. They bite, so the itching comes from the bites. Using finger nail polish and other home remedies does more harm to your skin. You want to treat the itching from the bites.

The best thing we've ever used is a product called "Chigga-rid". I buy it at Walmart.

That's just what he does..lol. It doesn't scar or anything, it breaks down and eventually peals off. He swears it works, I wouldn't know...never tried it.

My husband puts clear fingernail polish over his....seriously. It sufficates the chigger and it dies. He swears by it.

That's silly... they bite, they don't borrow. Does he scar from using that?? That's terrible for the skin...
