Why is it?

Right when you start building up a good amount in your savings account something breaks or some crazy unexpected bill pops up that practically eats it all up?! augh

  • I hear ya! We had a little over 10k in our savings last year then dh lost his job LOL. Now we have nothing, he has a new job and we have to start over.

  • Thats awesome though gem, wonderful that you had something to fall back on. Not many are prepared for something like that. In an answer to the question, its hard to keep on having to start over but at least there is money in savings for that. Isn't that what its there for :)

  • lol, happened to me, we had $5000 for a rainy day in the bank and were both making good money, and then we had our daughter, and when she was 3-4 months old, we both got laid off. So that sucked up all that money. We tried to keep as much as week could in there, by doing odd and end jobs for family/friends. But yeah, lol. Right now, I am just starting to put money back into it.
