I love this quote from Family Guy. It's from the episode "Boys Do Cry" (2007) ...
Peter Griffin: "If you're watching a TV show, and you decide to take your values from that, you're an idiot. Maybe you should take responsibility for what values your kids are getting. Maybe you shouldn't be letting your kids watch certain shows in the first place if you have such a big problem with them, instead of blaming the shows themselves."
I think this quote fits many different things from TV shows to books to movies. Why is it so damn hard for some people to just change the channel, turn off the television, not watch the movie or leave a book on the shelf? Why do they have to start pitching a bitch fit and demanding that the thing that offended them be removed and banned so that no one can have access to the "offensive" material?
So, what are you thoughts?
*This will fit into several categories, I picked P&CE because there is always something in the news about someone wanting something "banned" because they found it "offensive" to their delicate sensibilities. Please don't move it. I will just put it back.*

Appropriate - this is from the latest bitchfest that is the One Million Moms facebook page:
It's bad enough to get one's values from a tv show - but to protest one you don't even watch and try to get it taken off the air because you might disagree with it if you ever bothered to watch it? Psychotic.

I agree. And I think that applies to TV, books and Radio. If you don't agree with it, you don't have to listen to it or read it. I think it makes someone seem very thin skinned to not want others to be able to watch, read or listen to the things that they don't agree with.
