when i first bought our bunny, i didn't even know this was possible. i posted a picture on facebook and another lady on my friends list gave me some helpful information about litter training. this was probably the day after we bought him so he's had a litter box practically the entire time we've had him. as far as i can tell, he does not pee in his cage, only his litter box. unless it's drying before i see it but i don't think that's the case. he will also go number two in his litter box but he'll go in his cage too. idk if maybe he only likes to use a clean litter box? but i clean it on a daily basis. i've tried putting something in every corner so that his litter box corner is the only one available for going potty but he'll just move things around or go in the middle of the cage. he'll nibble my finger when i'm holding him and i like to think that's his way of telling me he has to go potty so i put him back in his cage but i'm not sure if he's actually going when i do this. i'd like to get him fully litter trained so that he can hop around the house some too and not always be confined to his cage or being held. it's not like he's crammed in his cage but he is a bunny and needs some leg stretching time. plus it's nasty and i don't want him laying around in his own poop. there is a cage over his litter box so that when he uses it, he doesn't have to step in his dirty litter. he's only a baby so it's not like he's had a lifetime of not using the litter box. another thing is sometimes when he poops, it looks like dog poop and not little balls. i was wondering if maybe i'm giving him something that's upsetting his stomach? i feed him baby rabbit food and he gets a few pieces out of the big rabbit food because he likes the taste and he gets fresh carrots. i saw on the animal channel to clean them you put them in a bowl of baby power and let them hop around but i feel like every now and then he needs a real bath. he has gotten pee on him before so i think he needs a real cleaning. is it possible for me to give him a bath and if so, how would i go about doing that?Answer Question
