I am not with my daughter's biological dad, and I have a family now with her and another man and a couple more kids. She's 5 now, and sometimes I look at her, and she makes these faces and I see her biological father in her when she does, and I feel like it's making me start to resent her... I get kind of mean towards her, but I know it's wrong, and it's not fair to her, but I can't help it.. something just comes over me, this anger because he ruined me... he beat me, and hurt me so badly..and I can't stand to look at her and see him... What do I do??? I feel like the world's most horrible mother to even have these thoughts and feelings inside of me..Answer Question

Maybe try saying this to yourself when you start feeling the resentment creeping up:
She is NOT her father. She is something beautiful that came out of something ugly.
