Why do some people confuse cafemom with web md?

i'm pregnant and see some posts and just think to myself "why are you on cafemom and not in route to the er?" lol

anyone else agree?

Yes, most are no-brainers. But I can see wanting to compare certain things/experiences to see what is normal for some. Like normal healing time or something. But overall, I really hope these people call their Dr.!

One lady asking about a possible miscarriage and I made the mistake of answering her and she msg me back accusing me of being rude. I told her she would know if I was being rude, and that there were women here that were OB's and women who have miscarriages. Sure there is, about the miscarriage part, I am unsure about the OB part. But everyone has a different experience. Geeez already!

I just thought to the last post I answered on a woman who asked something like she thought her 3 yr old might have ingested ant poison, and he went to daycare and threw up, she had to come back to take him home, then he slept all day. It was 2am when she finally got around to asking us should she call poison control.

My kid fell down the stairs and has this bump on their head. Their eyes are glassy and they keep throwing up...what should I, oh, never mind, wrong thread.

i know we all come for advice esp 1st timers but people that post about possible miscarriages or serious situations need to call their obgyn. we're mommies not doctors we wont have all the correct answers and god forbid you get told adive that is actually wrong.

for example i had spotting. i found out i actually have kidney stones and a kidney infection that spread to my uterus with out any UTI.

god forbid i posted online and was told the wrong thing i wouldve lost my baby
