  • No. But, if he were more socially mature he probably would. My youngest will be starting Kindergarten in the fall so we'll see.

  • I homeschool, so it is kind of a non-issue with us...I can just advance with her. This year she would have been placed in kindergarten by age, I did a first grade curriculum with her, and when we had her reading and math tested, she was performing at a 2nd grade level.

  • No. Academically both could, but neither has the emotional or social maturity to make it a wise, long term choice.

    I skipped a year of college. I completed my Bachelor's in 3 years (thanks to AP classes I took in High School.) It had perks - it had short-term disadvantages. Long term there are only two real benefits - 1) it saved my parents about $14,000 in tuition, room&board, and books. 2) Its great fodder for all those "something you didn't know about me" memes. :)
