How do you feel about guns as a home protection devise? Have your thoughts about guns changed since you had kids?
I am terrified that someone is going to come after me and my baby. I wanna get a gun license and keep it in my draw under lock and key but still have it. I have a reason to think people would come after me. I'm not just paranoid. Before I got pregnant I didn't ever think of it. I always thought I could take care of myself if anyone ever came for me but with the baby I'm afraid.Answer Question

Ever see a barn own tr to carry off an infant from a playpen? [dardenella]
Seriously? Damn! How BIG that bird??
To answer the question ... I own several guns and we have several rifles as well as many knives and a sword. Yes, we like weapons. We have always had a gun a in the house. We taught my son that they are not toys. I have a Glock Model 37 (.45 cal) in my nightstand dreawer and hubby keeps a Taurus .38 with him. Kids are not allowed to roam wherever they want in our home, but our bedroom door is kept locked when they are in the house.
I suggest a bio-metric fingerprint safe for those that want to keep their guns locked up around kids. The guns are locked away but easily accessible in case of emergency.

" Oh, and I really don't think Obama is coming to take our guns and our freedoms. LOL.."IGA
BULLSHIT!! Twelve Democratic senators have joined 45 Republicans in a fast growing movement to halt progress on an Obama-backed United Nations effort that could bring international gun control into the United States and slap America's gun owners with severe restrictions. The major concern is that domestic manufacture, possession, and sales of firearms and ammo will be included, thereby giving an international authority the right to regulate arms sales already protected by the Second Amendment. They also said any move for an international gun registry would be a non-starter." Obama will need congress permission to do this. But of course we all know that wouldn't happen given his habit of going around congress.
