Police in South Australia have asked the public for leads after thieves made off with 92 pounds of mayonnaise.

Two 46-pound tubs of the white stuff went missing Saturday from a refrigerated warehouse in Whyalla, Sky News reported.

Police said they were stumped over a motive. The have asked the public to be on the lookout for anyone suspected of making large batches of coleslaw or potato salad, Sky reported.
