Do you think this is a crock or for real? It's supposed to prevent SIDS

    Does it hurt? No. Does it really do what it claims? No. Is the research it's based upon sound? No.

    What the media doesn't say is that Sprott's study has never been able to be duplicated. His sample was from NZ and there were MANY variables for which he provided no control. His theory has been discounted several times by scientists trying to duplicate his "results".

    What that site doesn't tell you is that if you want to wrap your mattress you can buy rolled plastic from a hardware store and do the same thing. Keep in mind....they are also telling you it's okay to put your baby on it's tummy, plastic reflects heat which will make your baby warmer (and you're not supposed to let the baby get to warm as a risk factor for SIDS).

    It's not real.
