Work problem

I've been at this job now since April and sine I've started I've noticed that all their hand radios are all taped together, and don't hold a charge. So the Supervisors get upset at some of the employees and act like it's our fault. These Lead Supervisors, and Manager have been their at the company for several years now and have known about the radios long enough that they should've been replaced. A girl at work gave me one of the head honchos number his cell number and said that he would be the one to talk to. Well I called him and got nothing but a bad vibe from him,the tone in his voice was off. I told him the situation and he was all talk to the manager. I was like she already knows about the radios. So I got nowhere at all. I'm pissed about this job and the way they treat us employees. Today they wanted me to sign a paper so they could deduct pay .25 I was maybe 4-5 minutes late no more. I don't think I should have that deducted from my pay,so I didn't sign the paper and said I wanted to see my time card before I sign and get deducted. I wasn't 15 minutes late. Is that normal?? This job I have is just all wrong,no pay increases unless you get promoted as a lead. That won't happen for a long long time. I've also been told they have a high turn over rate cause they treat their employees like crap. They have janitorial carts falling apart, and dusters that are falling apart. They are contracted by Micron and make plenty of money I don't understand the problem.

  • I'm trying really hard to be patient with this company,in the meantime I'm looking to gain employment elsewhere,an hopefully closer to home.

  • they are ass holes plain & simple and feel it doesnt matter what they do as long as they are in the grey areas of the law you will either quit, or do something as simple as be late clocking in by 1 min more than so many days, which means you are late for work so they can fire you. its not their problem its yours, and it sucks. you can either go to the labor board & become a "troublesome employee" or find a different job

  • Well what I don't get is why the big boss didn't just reply by saying he would look into that. Obviously there is a problem not be taken care of and employees are getting yelled at it's not fair. I will be quitting soon!

  • I think the employer has made it clear they don't care about the employees. You will not change their mind. it's good you are seeking other employment.

  • Yep it sounds like they just don't care and there is not much you can do about it sadly.
