What do you do while the kid(s) take their nap?

When DD was younger I would sleep too. Then it progressed to several stages. Sometimes I'd do nothing, most of the time I would clean, then I used to clip coupons then she stopped napping and I am 2 months behind in clipping and now she's napping again and I don't know what to do. I just watched trashy tv today.

  • My kids do 'quiet time' even at 4 and almost 8. lol. Every day from 1:30-3:00 I eat a snack, do laundry while watching grown up TV and sometimes I go on the computer to chat as well.

  • I miss naps! That was my "me" time. Then again, I don't miss diapers. Now I'm ready for school to start again.

  • I nap. I hate that he rarely takes a nap anymore and mostly it is just falling asleep in the truck on the way home.

  • Ha, I can't remember the last time mine napped. But it depended on my mood & energy level. Sometimes I slept too, or watched soaps, or did housework that wouldn't wake them up. I'd also take care of phone calls that I know I could do w/out interruptions! :p

  • I nap right along side him. We can both sleep several hours in the afternoon. I lay right with him intending just to close my eyes for just a second but then drift off too. It's Heaven.
