In thinking about this while responding to someone who thinks that R rated movies would get someone lost in their faith, I started thinking about what made me lose my faith. It was the death of a close family member. And usually when a person loses their faith or "gets lost" it is because of a tragedy or just hard times in their lives. I have never known anyone to be influenced away from their faith because of a fictional story in a book or a movie or television. The news might, and most certainly documentaries have that influence as well, but we has human beings respond with emotion and less with knowledge most of the time. So I don't think the entertainment industry has anything to do with interfering with our relationship with God or whoever you worship.
