What kind of headache medicine can you take when you are pregnant?

would it be ok to take advil or excedrin?

  • tylenol is the only over the counter medicine you can take. If your headaches are bad enough you can ask your doctor for Midrin (sp?) it's the only migrane medicine approved to take during pregnancy.

  • No, ONLY tylenol. Drink lots of water too to keep hydrated

  • NEVER take Advil or Excedrin while pregnant. Advil is ibuprofen and Excedrin contains aspirin, both are no-nos during pregnancy.

    You can only take tylenol.
