When did you baby start standing on their own??

My dd is 9 months and has been just standing up without pulling herself up on anything. it scares me but at the same time she has great balance.. I'm pretty sure she wants to start walking... my little girl is growing up to fast.

  • It was around that time for mine as well. Exciting and sad all at the same time! From baby to toddler in just a few steps! lol

  • I know what you mean my dd will be 11 months old in 5 days she is out last (3 girls) my oldest was pulling up at 5.5 months old, but wasn't pulling up on her own with out holding anything until she started walking at a day before 9 months. My second dd was pulling up at 6 months and wasnt standing on her own without pulling up until she started walking at 10 months. M baby is almost 11 months she started pulling up at 7 months, but she has been standing on her own without pulling up on anything at right before she started pulling up on furniture lol. she has been for about 2 weeks now taking like 3-4 steps at a time.

  • It differs with every baby/child..My DD started standing at 10mths my DS at 9mths..I work at a daycare,& i work with the young toddlers (10mth-15mths) & it all depends on the baby..I had a 8mth old who started walking ,10mth who is walking,15mth who just started to walk,& many others who or just trying to maintain that balance :).. But they do grow up fast & walking/standing is something u dont want to miss..
