  • Absolutely not - no. It's not even natural for humans to drink cows milk, so it is definietly not necessary.

If the child is eating enough, healthy foods - and drinks water when they are thirsty, they are getting all the nutrition they need.

They can get enough protein/calcium from the right foods.

  • No. There are other sources for those nutrients.

  • Did you switch over all at once? Did you try mixing formula and milk to gradually switch over? Not liking a food can be a sign of an allergy or intolerance.

  • Nope. Cows milk is unnecessary. If you really want them to drink a milk try goats milk. Many kids like it.

  • That is wonderful then because cow's milk was intended for 150 baby-cows! Not humans.
There is more nutrients in soy milk than cows milk too. But the other options alsi include rice milk & almond milk.
Really all they need to drink though is water. I am not even a juice fan, because the fresh fruit is far better than juice and has a world less sugar.

  • Nope, no one in our household drinks cow milk. THere are many other ways to get the nutrients you need.

  • Of course there are other ways to get nutrition. Cows milk is just readily available and not as expensive as soy or goats milk. My boys have had no problems with whole milk. I do agree about juice though. Children do not need juice. It is sugary water basically. They should be getting enough fruits and veggies to cover their dietary needs without juice. Also, children that are not given juice, have less instance of diaper rash.
