I did forget something... my crazy weekend trip

Yep ladies, even though I asked on here and I had that instinct that I had forgotten something I still screwed up big time and we ended up having to turn around and come back home after almost an hour of driving Sat morning... I forgot the TICKETS that we pre-ordered for the Renaissance Festival! I felt SOOO stupid and we left really early so we could get there when they opened and not be in the heat too long but by the time we turned around for them and then went again we wasted almost 2hrs :( It didn't turn out TOO bad cause the kids still had fun but man it was SOOO hot and crowded by the time we got there :P We really didn't stay that long either cause after 2.5 hrs we were all exhausted from the heat and the walking. My kids were glad to get to Grandma & Grandpa's early though and relaxed and rested a bit before the BBQ/party for my dd's 9th birthday :)

SO, have you ever forgotten something important and had to turn around and drive back home?

  • I was a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. The ceremony and party were in a hotel about 45 min from our house. We left early to check in and my husband could swim in the pool before the wedding. We got to the exit and I screamed "We forgot my dress!". We had to turn around head back home, get the dress and drive back to the hotel just in time to be in the pictures. My husband and I missed out of chilling and relaxing before the wedding.

  • Yup! Many times! One time I forgot my ID and couldn't get back on base until someone brought it to me...fun.

On another topic, I posted a q about the fires. They aren't too close to you are they?

  • No thankfully we are way down south and none have hit our area. We drove right through Colorado Springs yesterday and today on the way home (without the kids YAY!) and yesterday we could see the smoke but not very bad at all and couldn't barely smell anything. Today it was much thicker smoke and really nasty smell but it was also very cloudy and we actually hit some rain around Springs to thankfully they're getting some help from Mother Nature. It is just so hot and dry all over the state everyone is kinda holding their breath until after the 4th in hopes that no more fires break out :-/

  • Glad you are OK! Just be hopeful everyone follows the no fireworks laws. I tried to send you our rain, but it seems I was unsuccessful.

  • DH forgot his passport once on his way to his sister's wedding in Israel. He missed his flight and had to go the next day. Luckily he could get another flight and made it in time for the wedding. He had better not do the same thing this July when he flies out to meet us in Israel for our niece's wedding.
