What are some thing that you make on your own?

This weekend, i ran out of baby wipes and really didnt want to run into town, so i made my own. They turned out pretty good, just a tad bit too moist, but otherwise good.
It got me to wanting to make more things on my own to see how much it could actually save.
I googled some homemade washing detergents, and the ones that were coming up, didnt seem that easy, and seemed to take a while to make.
Any one have a recipe that you use that isnt hard?
What other things do you make yourself?

  • my laundry soap is easy. It takes about 10 minutes to make,24 hours til it's set
Grate 1 bar of Fels Naptha soap, add to 6 cups of water, heat til the soap is dissolved, add 1/s cup washing soda,1/2 cup borax, stir til dissolved. Put in a 3-5 gallon bucket, add 18 cups of hot water, and stir. Cover loosely

  • You take papertowel, I tore it in half becuase i couldnt cut all the way through it like the directions said, the mix two cups of water, with two tablespoons baby wash or baby shampoo, and one tablespoon baby oil, put the papertoowels in and let them soak up the water.
That was the one i found online just real quick.
I think the reason mine were too moist is the papertowel roll had some used already, so there wernt as many to soak upthe water, but they still work fine.
