Making stuffed peppers on the stove top and it's been on the stove for 40 minutes and the rice has yet to cook???

  • I've never made them like that. I always cook the rice first, mix it with the rest of the stuff. I also boil my peppers a little bit. Then I stuff them and bake them in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • I always cook my rice ahead... can you add more liquid or something??

  • On the stove? Maybe more liquid on the bottom and a lid to steam the rice.. good luck.

  • OK! It needed some more sauce!! Thank god ! They are almost done!!! My mom has always made them with raw rice and they come out amazing !
