Please Help! Petition for Parentage. Utah.

I have been summoned to court. my daughters heroin addict dad would like joint custody and to pay 10 dollars a month in child support. I have never been to court, I would like full custody... cant afford a lawer. Have any of you been through this?? I am trying to get my ANSWER turned into the court in 3 days... Ugghh!

sadly since it's 3 days away you can plead to the courts to do a supervised visitation. Provided all proof he is NOT capable to be alone with your child. Then TODAY look into legal assistance it takes just over a couple months. (I'm in Utah and had to deal with this) Once yo get legal aid hire a lawyer and fight for sole custody. Pro bono doesnt have enough funds this year (at least that what I was told in March). Good Luck! Again I am in Utah which is how I know about the pro bono thing.

How long have you been divorced/ seperated. Has he gien you any money during that time for her support?
You can petition the court to demand a drug test.
