What age did you move your children into a twin sized bed?

My daughter will be 3 in September and I get the feeling that she's not very comfortable in her toddler bed anymore. I'm thinking about buying her a twin sized bed and getting some safety gates.

How old were your kids when you moved them over to a twin sized bed and how was the transition? Did they have a hard time or was it pretty easy?

  • My oldest DD moved from a toddler bed to a twin at 4 1/2 yrs old. Her baby sis then immediately moved in to her toddler bed from her crib.

  • 18 months, he never did the twin bed. Keeping him in bed took a while, but since you already to the toddler bed that shouldn't be a problem.
