I know someone who recently found out they have non-curable cancer and have a few months to live. They will be starting radiation therapy soon. Why the radiation? Why not just live those few months without being sick from the treatments? Does it help to ease the pain from the cancer or something? I wish I understood. Stupid cancer!Answer Question

It's such a sad, scary disease. I feel horrible for those involved. I think if I were in that situation I would want to know the purpose of those treatments. Is it to buy time, ease suffering.....? As the patient, you have a right to refuse the recommended treatment if you feel it will effect your quality of life. Your friend needs to do some research, find some experts to meet with & decide what's best for them. A little prayer couldn't hurt either. So sorry for what you are going thru. GL
