Baby born behind the veil... what does that mean?

My sister just called and asked me this. She said she was on FB and one of her friend's posted their baby was born behind the veil and was healthy and happy and they would post pics later.

Neither of us has ever heard that term before. Any ideas?

    So it's just a bit of the amnion that gets stuck on the baby, but there is apparently a "religious organization" regarding it too. 


    And apparently some think it indicates psychic abilities.

    The birth caul or veil is a full face mask which may be sometimes found covering the face of a child at birth. Such births are quite rare, and they hold special significance for the child born in such a manner.(1st site)

  • C-section? They put up that little medical divider and what not.....closest thing I have to a guess
