I have a 7 month old. Is it safe to feed him oranges?

  • Not yet. When he's on stage 3 foods, small servings of canned mandarin oranges are probably OK but acidic foods are tough on little ones' stomachs. Strawberries are also very acidic, BTW. I have some not-so-fond memories about those and a 1-yo.

  • Mine did. The AAP used to say hold off on citrus due to possible allergies, but have since said it's okay to introduce them earlier. They are a great source of vitamin C! I would cut them into bite size pieces though.

  • Not something I've given a child that young. But if you want to see, give just a little bit to see how baby would react.
