  • No I dont. I think alcohol being legal is bad enough. I just dont think something that can impair your judgment, thinking etc should be used and especially if you have kids. I remember someone telling my ex who was a drug addict the reason doing drugs is bad when you have kids is that money and attention and energy you spend to get the drugs could be better used on your children. They were correct. And that is where I think the problem lies. We already have so many alcoholics in our society that cost us money when they dont work, live off the govt, get rehab etc why make more problems?

  • Yes it should be legal at the very least for medical purposes. Also hemp should be made legal to grow here in the US. It doesn't get you high and we import billions worth of it from other countries yearly. Our farmers need the cash crop.

  • You know good question....It is funny how there are people who can handle being high and then are the ones that act so stupid. It is just like some people can handle their liquor and some can't...But to answer ur question I would perfer it to stay illegal just to be on the safe side.

Just like anonymous @ 8: 45 said we have enough stupid people already.

  • There is no affordable and easily available test to pinpoint when marijuana is used. That means someone who smokes on Saturday still tests positive on Monday. That means they are an insurance liability for an employer. Either jobs enact a no tolarance policy stricter than what is in place now, or they pay higher insurance rates (meaning lower salaries and higher prices). The insurance company does not give two shits when you smoked, only if you can pass the test, otherwise you are a liability and can result in them being sued and losing. So, no, keep it illegal because there is no feasible way to use it legally in the confines of the economy - you think the McDonald's coffee suit was big, just wait until someone can demand a drug test after H&R Block screws up their taxes.

  • if it was legal then employers would not need to do a drug test to test for marijuana just like they don't test for alcohol.

  • It should stay illegal. We have enough problems in this country without having potheads walking around.

  • yes i think that it should be legal but it shold be taxed. there needs to be a age limit on it also just like alchohol. i do not smoke pot but i have a lot of buddies that do and i think that it wouldbe easier to make more money toward the government making it legal than the govt making no money off of it becuase everyone hides it and sells it behind there back. this economy needs all the money they can get!

The do check for alcohol. If you are ever injured at work, the first thing they will do is send you for a drug and alcohol test before they will even consider allowing you to file a workman's comp claim.
