  • Try 2.5 ounces and see what he does. How old is he?

  • If he still wants to eat when the 2 is gone, then try another and the next feedings just make 3 to begin with.

  • your baby will let you know. if your baby is crying when its done eating you will know to give it more- if you give your baby 3 ounces for a few days and each day it only eats around 2.5 oz you will know that is how hungry your baby is. And some days your baby may eat more and some days will eat less :)

  • i agree that your baby will let you know. you can also tell by the amount of time between feedings. i think it is normal that a baby should go 2-3 hours between feedings. my girl would not eat more than 3 oz at a time until 9 months now finally taking 5 oz. some days, though, she would eat 4 or 5 oz. i could always tell because she'd keep sucking at the empty bottle, like she wanted more. also, i always had to make sure to burp her after the 3 oz, because sometimes i'd rush to make her another bottle and by the time i had it ready, she would realize she was full and not want it! study his facial expressions if he is not a crier.
