  • My son loved it. I thought he would cry, but he  said " bye mommy!" Who do you think was more heartbroken? Lol.

At three, he only went two days a week, for two hours.

  • it was different when i sent my oldest to school the first time, i was a single mom and had no other choice, and she was an infant. she'll be 6 this year and starting kindergarten soon, but she's more than ready. she's been in preschool type environments her whole little life.

sending my middle one (3.5) to preschool was challenging for both of us. she'd been home with me since day one, but im a single mom again and again don't have another choice. luckily it's where i work so i can kind of keep an eye on her. she's very sensitive and shy so even now over a month later she's having difficulty when i leave her. but she's starting to come around.

it depends on the child more than anything. however, if i was a stay at home mom and wanted them to go for socialization reasons, i'd start them off part time only.

  • It is a bit of a shock, but it is good for the child, and good for the mom to have time also.

  • It was only 2-1/2 hours, so not that bad. Kindergarten was much worse being an all day thing. I cried with Kindergarten, not Pre-school.

  • all three of my kids went to preschool and they loved it. it helped prepare them for school. my youngest is going in to kindergarden this year and she can't wait. my other oldst is 10 ad she's on the honor roll and my middle on is in a specail program this year for the talanted kids.
don't know how it's set up where you are but where i used to live they went form 8:00a to 12:00p m-th. and stayied in until they were old enough for kindergarden.

  • mine was soooo ready! she had no qualms, i had no problems. the only child i had a problem sending to preschool was my youngest - and only because it meant he was growing up too fast.
