I do that when I take the children to large venues- i.e. state fairs.
They think I am nuts- but hey- I figure I can't remember what we had for breakfast, much less what they were wearing if they ever got lost.

Also if they have a phone- have them take a picture of you too, with your call number on speed dial #1 and first contact number. That way if someone finds them/ the phone, contacting you is easier.

@ feral: Another thing to do, in regards to the cell phone, is have an I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency) number listed in your phone. That way if you're unconscious or unable, the paramedics have a number to call.

Good idea. I use to dress my daughter and I in similar colors that way I would remember what she was wearing
