Why is my baby's poop "pebbly"?

  • Generally, because of iron...........iron can constipate and make pebbly poops. Try giving some fruit juice, the sugars in it will help.

  • Do you mean pebbly or like little pebbles in and the rest runny? If it's the later, it's curdled milk. If they are breast fed then their poo is usually runny with curdled milk in it.

  • I wouldn't give LO juice too much sugar IMHO...but pureed prunes, they sell it right along with other baby foods and it WORKS! I had to start giving my oldest a jar a week! It works really well!

  • babies under 6mos shouldn't have anything but breastmilk. don't give them juice. i'd say the formula is constipating him.
