S/O What would you do...

if you saw a child in a car? It's over 100 degrees outside, car is off. Windows cracked/rolled up.
Car is locked and child is to young to know how to get out of the car seat to open the door.

I would personally go the the window farthest from the child bust it to open the car and get the child out. Of coarse call 911 first.

  • i would call the police for sure, especially considering that I live in Florida and that child would be dead in less than an hour if trapped inside a car in this heat. i did it once when someone left their dog in the car at 2pm on a hot summer day, so no doubt in my mind that i'd do it for a child. people are fucktards.

  • Sadly, this has happened to me (not as drastic). When my oldest was a little one, probably a month old or so, I accidentally locked her and my keys in the car. This was in El Paso, Texas in August, so brutally hot. I panicked for about one minute and then got a brick from a little retaining wall and smashed the front passenger window.

Looking back I remember how hard it was to break that damned window. It probably took me 8-10 whacks before it finally gave. It's scary as hell and I was much more aware from that moment on.

  • i'd call police and tell them i was about to bust the window..and if they didn't arrive before it happened, i was not responsible for the broken glass.

Did anyone see this episode of "What Would You Do"? Nobody really noticed the child ad the car was parked on the curb. I would make a scene and probably break a window, but you have to watch/ read this.

  • Honestly, probably break the window and ask questions later. What is the worst that can happen? I have to pay for a car window?

  • I ditto that to many kids die due to stupid a** parents. I would call the fire deparment as well they responded faster for my mom when she was locked outa her car and my sister was in her seat (course dont know the story why she was in the car alone anyways hmmmmm)

  • Yep, I'd be breaking the window while I handed the phone to my dau to call 911. If the owner of the car came out before the police, I'd make sure I had the license plate number to give when the police showed up. Pissed about your broken window- sue me. It's cheaper to replace the window than have a funeral for your kid!!

  • call 9-11 and explain that i was going to break the window. if they told me not to id do it anyway. who knows how long that kids been in there! even if i had to pay for the window, the satisfaction of knowing i saved a baby would be worth it.
