Do 5 week olds...

cluster feed? ds has acted hungry non stop for the past 3 or so hours i dont wanna over feed him.

  • Absolutely, the younger they are the more they do it, because remember once not too long ago he was attached by umbilical cord where you were constantly providing, now it's just thru the breast :)
    BM is easier to digest than formula which is one of the reasons why younger babies tend to cluster feed more often than older babies.

  • lol cluster feed, now that cracks me up.
    Seriously though sometimes they do. Sometimes you hardly get yourself put back together and they are wanting more.

    There is something you can do to checkon the quality of the milk though. Expess some in a clean jar and put it in the fridge for an hour or two. Have a good look see. If it is very watery you may wish to try to eat a bit healthier. Babies do go through growth spurrts and sometimes just can;t get enough.
