Question about DirecTV

I called last night to cancel our account since they raised the price about $25 dollars AND took almost all of the channels away that we watch.. Well they said they canceled the accounts but this morning I turn the TV on to put on netflix and its not cut off..? Anyone know how long it takes? Or do I need to call back cause I don't want to be charged any longer...

  • I always call to confirm that the request has been properly submitted. Get a confirmation code. Then enjoy it until it goes away.

  • It might take up to 24 hours, not sure. I am curious to know how many accounts they lost recently!

  • Aside from the current issue they (Directv) are having negotiating with Viacom (a bunch of channels that we watch are gone, including several cartoon channels, Comedy Central, Logo and Spike TV), we've never had any problems with them.
