I am at my wits end!! (vent)

So my daughter goes to her fathers parents sometimes on weekends, and we are currently in the process of continuing to pottytrain and when er she comes back to my place she peesher pants and doesn't seem to see the wrong in doing so... She also in her tude tells me Tma (what she calls grandma) lets her wear a diaper. I have told them a million times NO DIAPERS but they're defient. :-l it's really frustrating but I'm getting to the point where I am about to tell them no more visits Til they follow my rules. Well never get her PT if they don't enforce it.
It's not really a question because I have made my mind up I guess I just needed to vent!

Sorry for all the spelling errors I am on my phone lol.

  • She wouldnt be going over for a while, if I were in that situation. They are either on the same page as you, or they dont see her until she is fully trained.
Its your child, not theirs and your rules should be followed.

  • How old is she? If she's old enough that she should reasonably already be potty-trained, I'd consider going to court and making a case that they are not just being defiant, but are actively sabotaging the potty-training and try to get a court order that specifically states no more diapers and that they must cooperate with you.

Keeping her away is a good option, but I'm enough of a bitch that I'd do it through the courts to make sure they fully understand that I mean business and I won't play games.

  • What's in the custody agreement? You need to be sure it won't boomerang back at you if you refuse to let them take her. I think you absolutly have grounds.

  • I would then let them know that you are potty training her and that if they can't be behind you on this that she can't have over night or long day visits till she is.. Do not let them undermind you.. your daughter and parenting end of story.

  • Oh I let her go over as A friendly means of civility. Other than that, there is no legal or custodial agreement. Ian and I decide where she goes, but she lives with me 6 days out of 7.

  • I agree, no more visits until either they get behind you and help with the potty training process or she's fully trained.
