9 wk old won't stay asleep for naps

My 9 week old doesn't get great daytime sleep unless he's in the carseat (when I'm running errands etc). At home, he will only stay asleep 5 mins tops before crying. He does have GERD/reflux -he sleeps with his head elevated. Tips or suggestions? Hoping to give my 3 year old mommy time during baby's naps!!

  • Neither of my kids would either, although my second was better than my first. They were both horribly colic and had acid reflux as well. I think this is very typical of reflux babies. I feel If they are not comfortable they will not sleep. Thats why i'm not a fan of CIO. With age they will get better.. I'm sorry I could not give you more advice but I know what you are going through..... It will get better.

  • Yes mom, it will get better but for now until he grows out of his reflux, your poor baby can't help how he feels, so bear with it for a while longer, explain to the 3 year old what is happening to the baby...hang in there mom, day at a time.....
