I have been seeing this guy for a year he wants to get engaged I think this is too soon what you all think?

If I was in a relationship, to me a year wouldn't be too soon. But if you feel it's too soon, then it's too soon for you.

But I would consider whether you really think it's too soon or whether you just don't want to take that step with him.

well I have already been divorced once. I was thinking like waiting until we are together like two years.

It would depend on how the kids in the relationship feel. For me, a year is long enough without kids involved. But with kids, I think things should be taken so much slower and a year may definitely not be long enough.

My kids love him, but I just got divorced a year ago I am not ready for another engagement right now.

Since you aren't ready, tell him this. You should give yourself a good chance to heal after your divorce.

Length of engagement is an individual thing. You aren't ready. So don't get engaged till you ARE ready.

My husband and I were engaged after a year, and married about two weeks after that. There were no kids involved though and neither of us had been divorced. If you feel it's too soon, then it's too soon for you.
