Do you buy fresh garlic

or do you buy the bottled pre-minced garlic?

  • I buy natural garlic, the packaged one is horrible and it takes 30 seconds to mince it. I LOVE garlic, my favorite thing to do with it it's take the big bulbs, cut a bit of the top, drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper, make littlepackages in aluminum foil and roast them in the oven for about 45 minutes until theiy're all soft. the tase is so mild you can spread it on toast like butter. Ialso use it to make salad dressings, you get the garlicky taste without the garlic knockout, lol

  • I've been buying jarred chopped garlic. I don't use enough to make buying fresh a good idea- it goes bad before I use it.

  • I use to buy the jar, but here lately I'm trying to cut costs so I buy the bulbs.

  • minced because I don't use it often enough and I am not knife savvy enough to get it small enough without chopping my fingers off.;)

  • I buy fresh, and keep a package of frozen cubes in the freezer for those times I realize in the middle of cooking that my fresh garlic has gone bad.

  • I live in Provence - of COURSE I buy fresh (lol) and, when I can get it straight from the ground and still juicy then that's even better!
