Is it normal to do less housework when it's hot?

Well of course!!

I would do what is most necessary and then take a rest. It certainly won't go away while you relax. I would say do like when we have a snow storm, everything seems to stop for a day or two, and people get a well deserved rest from the fast pace of life and its demands. Maybe thats why we have hot days that you can hardly move during, and stormy days that bring everything to a halt. We don't seem to know how to take the time to just be. And if you are pregnant... all the more reason to be good to yourself. I used to plan one thing a day that was a major job and do it, but of coarse dishes beds and necessary laundry never really took a rest. Oops I lied on occassion even the dishes got rinsed and left and some days we crawled back into an unmade bed. And we are still here to tell about it, ha,ha.

I don't know if it's normal but it's certainly preferable! Why don't you go run through the sprinkler instead?

No one feels like doing anything when it's really hot. I'm sure your not the only one. Don't be so hard on yourself.

I do all of my cleaning in the morning before it gets hot. After its reached a certain temp the only thing my butt is doing is getting comfy on the couch. All I do throughout the entire day is keeping the kitchen clean, but I have a dishwasher to help. Being pregnant means you're hotter than normal. Don't worry about it, it'll get clean again.

I get up early and do the heavy cleaning and then take a nap at 10 am lol
