I was reading a few article and think some of these laws in some state may need to be updated. After the shooting in Virgina the state closed some loops holes in their laws.
I can not for the life of me understand that James Holmes purchased four guns at local shops and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition within 60 days and it was all legal.
I am sorry in all of the above situation the guns were legal, bought with little background check.
And the poster that said if everyone was carrying their gun there would be less people dead or hurt.
That blows my mind, are we going to have shoot outs like the Wild West?

The stricter we make gun laws the more likely we will have guns in the hands of the criminals and not in the hands of the people the laws are there to protect.... more law doesn't always mean more compliance.

"For what possible reason would anyone need an assault weapon or a Glock?" [booklover]
Do you even know what a Glock is?? Seriously? It is a semi-automatic pistol. This is what my husband bought me for my 35th birthday. I love it. It is a GLOCK Model 37 .45 GAP (caliber) with a 10 round magazine. What is wrong with owning this particular brand of pistol??
