two toddlers with diarrhea for a little over a week?

my 5 and 3year old have had diarrhea for a little over a week. almost every 2-3 days they end of vomitting theyre still active but its the non stop diarrhea that drains them. They stay hydrated with water or gatorade and still eat but will they be treated if theyre seen by a dr or will i just get the whole " give them light meals and stay hydrated?"
