Frickin' Frick! Stupid ants... :: grumble grumble::

I went in the pantry to get the honey for my kids tea and the TWO POUND jar of local honey that was only about 1/4 of the way gone was FILLED with drowned ants. I tried to scoop them out but they just got mixed in worse so I had to toss it. NOW I have to go through he whole damn pantry to see what else the little chits got into. My stupid ant spray that is supposed to last a year is not even lasted 3 frickin' weeks. a few weeks ago they were by may sink so I sprayed the whole kitchen area. So How int he hell do I get rid of them!? Does borax and sugar really work?? I am just pissed... and did I mention that stupid honey cost $15 and you can only get it on Saturdays? Ugh!

  • If you are finding them in your pantry and in food you may have a bigger problem. You may have to call in a professional exterminator. We had carpenter ants and now have a yearly contract for them to come and spray once a year. I haven't seen them since we started with the exterminator. It only costs $150/year and they guarantee it so if we find more ants they will come and spray again.

  • It was in a screw top jar! I have no idea how they got in it and I found them in nothing else. I took everything out and sprayed the cabinet. We are moving in a month or so, so I will just keep an eye on it.

  • We've sprayed a couple of time for ants. Twice in the bathroom and once in the entryway. We are all constantly on the lookout for more. Hubs also sprayed around the outside of the house. Now we just need to get rid of that LARGE wasp next on the front porch light, any suggestions?

  • we just had ant issues too... I got lucky and none were in my pantry, but we had the large
black ones all over the rest of the house including the kitchen counters and OMG!!! I can not
    stand bugs on my counters...
I used a vinegar and water solution and cleaned everything up first and then sprayed the vinegar
everywhere... this removes their scent to follow ea other... had to do it several times, but am now
completely ant free.. and it's natural and won't hurt fabric, woods or pets... we live on a crawl space
    so ants are so common...
