Has anyone ever consolidated all their debt together. im thinking about doing that

  • Never had to. The big thing is to get rid of your credit cards if you can't pay them off. It will affect your credit rating to consolidate, if it hasn't been affected already.

  • If you get a consolidation loan through your bank or credit union. The most important thing to do is close those credit cards because you technically are paying them off and all of your balances are zero. It's easy to get in over your head again.

  • we went for a consultation to do that in about august of 2005 when my son was approx 10mos old. my hospital bills were all spread out form having him, every thing and every one and every specialist charged us separately including the home nursing and home wound care I had, because it topped 10 debts and $200,000 the consolidation people kindly told us to file bankruptcy. it was a kind nudge from them and life was IMMEDIATELY better. it seems like it was just yesterday but it's basically off our record already
