Synagis shot-anyone have experience?

Hi there, I have a very precious little 8 week old daughter named Landry. Later today, she will be receiving a Synagis shot to help protect her against RSV. I've read online about the side effects, but can't find much other than the typical (soreness around the injection, redness, and slight fussiness). Is there anyone out there who has a child that received this shot that had any major negative side effects or was it just like any other shot or vaccination?
Thank you!

  • My dd Karli gets it once a month. She will be 6 months old tomorrow. Her last shot in January was the worst one she has gotten. They had to stick her twice because she kicked her leg and knocked the needle out. She ended up getting a fever that evening and it stuck around for 24 hours. It was 101. That is the worst thing that she has dealt with since getting them. She has 2 more rounds.. this month and next month. In the fall she will have to go through it all again according to insurance..
It's typically just like any other vax.
