What is so wrong about Eminem?

This just is a question about a previous post I had about just being nice to people no matter who they are, etc. There was a few moms who were quite critical of him and the statement he said. While I was never a big fan of his in his earlier part of his career and his "Slim Shady" image. But here in these last few years, hes has grown up, got off the drugs, a real father finally towards his daughter. His music, IMO especially one song is a particular favorite of mine. Its called "Not Afraid" and the other "Lose Yourself." He has re-invented his persona, while he still does his rap, at least he isn't talking about gunning folks down with their "GATS" There are still songs of his that I rather not have my dd listen too, nor myself. At least he has made an attempt to better himself, that is if people let him. Besides, for a white guy he is a hellva great rapper! He is also a gay rights supporter despite some saying he is not. He is all for gay marriage.

I was gonna say "Not Afraid" is probably my favorite song. If I had a theme song, it'd be that song. His songs have meanings to him. Like "Hailey's Song" and "Mockingbird." I have no problems with him really. Yes, some of his stuff was pretty raunchy back in the day but nothing compared to some of the other rappers out there.

Eminem just tells it as he sees it I guess, but I do wish he would losen up a little and laugh for once. I remember he was a guest on SNL and he didn't laugh through a single segment. I'm like..."come on, I know your life sucks but you're rich and famous, find a sense of humor!"

I love Lose Yourself ... I bought his Encore CD ... most of the songs make me laugh. I still need to get Curtain Call. His movie 8 Mile was good.

Like you there is some Eminem I don't like...BUT there are quite a few songs I DO like. I think he has come a long way and I also love Not Afraid- Beuatiful- Lose Yourself and the songs about his daughter

He is one of the very few rappers I can say I like. *rap is really not my thing* I often cry when I listen to his stuff- so I have to be...in the mood for it, since I know it'll happen ;)

Let's see--he abused his wife so severely that she left him...TWICE! He flips the bird at the camera in just about every picture I have ever seen of him which is disrespectful of that which gave him fame and money. He's a selfish, arrogant prick who thinks that society OWES him whatever his little heart desires, and they'd better pay up, like, YESTERDAY. And here the list gets a little long. I don't know about his music. I don't care about his music. I care about how he lives and how he acts. His words are hypocritical, not because he is not racist or sexist, but because he doesn't care enough about race, religion or sex to BE those things. He is about Eminem and that's all. He's Charlie Sheen in white-face.
