Do you stress about "too babyish" clothes?

back to school shopping for a girl 6 and boy 7 1/2 is killing me. the things they want I don't approve of usually (especially daughter) and the things I think are winners they worry are babyish and I certainly don't want them to be picked on for something avoidable

do other moms stress about clothes too?

  • Mine are 7 and 8. They don't care about fashion yet, they wear whatever I buy. thankfully.

  • I don't. My son doesn't really care and the things he does ask for are fine with me. I'm not looking forward to the day he starts being fashion conscious.

  • Thank God for uniforms! And I am lucky because I have three boys. They are not too concerned with clothes.

  • eh, my oldest is the only one who stresses me about clothes, mostly because she is so picky about comfort. she doesn't care about all the latest trends or celebrity brands or stuff but she does have a particular "style" that we sometimes argue about :P she is 9 btw, i can see it getting much worse in the next 5 years lol!

  • No, my oldest (almost 6) picks out her clothes. She has never asked for anything inappropriate. The only thing I have to make sure of is that she stays within dress code: no spaghetti straps, flip flops or thong sandals.

  • No, mine is 5 and she isn't into clothes. She wears whatever I buy her and put on her. Never says a word.

  • My 11 year old just recently got to start going with me shopping to pick out her own clothing. My other 3 will still wear whatever I bring home for them to wear...two youngest don't care if it matches or not, they'll still wear it, LOL. I do make sure they are matched before going out...but at home? Who cares!

  • My daughter is picky. No more sparkles or cutesy stuff for her. Now it's nike t-shirts or sports themed things. She's nine and whatever I pick out she hates. She likes to look like she's going to camp at all times. I stress about clothes a lot. I don't force her to wear what she's not comfortable in.
