help! laundry question

i need to wash a pair of new shorts for my son. the tag says wash with like colors. well, they are reversible! white on one side, black on the other! sooo, which load do i wash them in, whites or darks? they are 100% polyester by the way. kinda like that shiny material that maybe basketball players wear.

  • Personally I would definately wash with darks...because you don't want all you whites coming out like a greyish color if the black bleeds...

  • This is just me but I would choose to wash them with the darks that way if the black was to run it wouldn't ruin a WHOLE load of white clothes, only the other side of the shorts. He would only be able to wear them with the black side out though. Chances are they will be fine.. but that is what I would do just in case.

  • it says wash in warm water. with like colors. i think it's pretty dumb to put that on the label when it's both a white and a dark.

  • I would always go with the darkest color rule and wash with darks in cold water.
