For those not keeping up, there is a clause in the bill from hell stipulating only US made steel can be used unless certain exceptions are met. The EU and Canada are now both threatening retaliation.
"A European Commission spokesman said it was the "worst possible signal" the Obama administration could send out.
The EU will launch a complaint with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) if the clause remains, the spokesman said.
The EU and Canadian ambassadors to Washington have already warned that the clause could promote protectionism and trigger retaliatory moves."
So now what, if they pass it with that language, we are raped by the WTO, if they don't pass it, they are giving in to external pressure. Either way, I think we're seriously hosed now, but which option is worse?

the only way to create and maintain American jobs is for us to use American made products - it would be ridiculous to use foreign steel to rebuild America's infrastructure
