Are you sure it isn't just PMS?
You COULD test today but results will be more accurate if you wait until the first to see if you miss your period first

Well the spotting was only for one day and that was last sunday and now all these symptoms have followed.

the 1st is still a week away, though. i'd wait until after you actually missed the period, to test. your spotting could mean your cycle is changing. it happens.
