How do your pronounce Tso's in the chinese General Tso's chicken?

Just wondering how the heck you pronounce it!

  • The "T" isn't ENTIRELY's just very, very short. Sort of like when you have a "TS" at the end of a word ---- like "HATS" --- it's almost like the "T" & "S" melt into one letter.

    So.. it's pronounced basically as it appears "Tso's" with a long "O" sound.

    That probably didn't make much sense... but hopefully you get the idea.

  • I pronounce Tso as "sow" "ow" (as in ouch!) but with an "s" Does that make sense?!? LOL!

  • Laura's right...the t isn't quite silent, just barely there. Kinda like you were holding your breath before you said it. And the o is long, as in sew or so, not sow.
