  • well i was 19wks when i found out i was having my son
but i think you can find out at 16wks.
However most drs wont do a u/s till you are about 20wks maybe a tad earlier. They always do a u/s around that time to do measurments on how baby is growing. She is just going to have to hang in there unless she wants to pay for it out of pocket.

  • I found out at 12 weeks. The doc said that was early so it could be wrong. I went in a month later and...still a girl!

  • I found out at 17 weeks, but I have known people who found out as early as 13 weeks, although they were told they were only 70% sure of the sex at that time.

  • The doctor doesn't usually check until your 20 weeks, is when they do the ultra sound. My schedule was off but a few weeks due to complications, and I found out at 18 weeks. I have a friend who works at the hospital and she is only 15 weeks and has already found out. I am sure she pulled a few strings. But you typically do not find out until your 20 week check, because that is when they do the ultrasound to look at the baby's heart and other things.

  • 15 weeks is when the genitals can be seen BUT it isn't very accurate until 18-20 week range and is a lot harder to see. Wait until your "big" ultrasound, the anatomy one. It's better to find out then, and a lot more accurate.
